• Lather a dime size of Mckesson Anti-microbial Soap onto the piercing. Lather 30 seconds to decontaminate and put moisturizer into the piercing. Move the soap around and under the jewelry. 
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
• Use soap 2X's a day. Once in the AM, once in the PM. 

SEA SALT SOAKS for Nostril & Septum Piercing

Take a few pinches of uniodized sea salt and drop in a shot glass of warm water. Dip a cotton ball on top of the piercing and let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse with clear water when finished. 2 times a day for the 1st week, after 1st week drop to once a day. Note, over salt soaking can dry out a new piercing. It is important to keep moisture in the newly developing cells for proper healing. For convenience you can purchase Steri-Wash Sterile Saline Solution. As you can see, the sea salt soak method is perhaps the best way to clean new piercing.

Anti-microbial, Anti-inflammatory, gel that will help to prevent infections, reduce swelling, pain, itching and irritation. Use 2x's a day or as needed for a fast comfortable heal.

1. WASH your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching on or near your piercing.
2. DRY with disposable paper products such as gauze or tissue. What to clean piercings with is a very common inquiry. The first advice we give is: DO NOT use fabric towels. It can harbor bacteria and snag on new piercings causing injury. Pat gently to avoid trauma. 
3. NEVER REUSE cotton balls, gauze, or sea salt solution. 

Micro - dermal piercings are single point piercings that are implanted just below the skin. The footing, which is under your skin, has holes that your skin will grow into and anchor itself into place. Your body will quickly adjust to your new micro-dermal and heal properly if you adhere to necessary daily aftercare piercing cleaning solution. 

HOW TO CLEAN

• Immediately following the procedure your dermal will be bandaged. Gently remove and replace your bandage 2X's a day for a week. After the second week, you can go without bandages. 
• A buildup of curst will form around your dermal. The bandages are there to keep you from snagging them while they are loose under the skin and have not anchored yet. It also helps to keep them from pushing out of your skin while healing. 
• Clean the pierced area with Mckesson Anti-microbial soap 1x daily 15-30 seconds, rinse thoroughly. Soak daily with Steri-Wash or sea salt mixture to remove lymph and crusts. Dilute 1/4 tsp of sea salt to 8 oz. of warm clear water. Soak then rinse with clear water.

Helps to prevent infections, reduce swelling, itching and irritation. Apply thin layer to dermal 1x daily. 

Understanding when to stop cleaning your ear and daith piercing or migraines can be tricky. However, initially healing is generally 6-12 weeks on almost all piercings with up to 1 year to be permanently healed. 

EAR PIERCING SERVICE CLEANING TIPS

• To keep water and aftercare products out of your inner ear, put a small piece of a cotton ball in your ear before routine aftercare. 
• Lather a dime size drop of Mckesson Anti-microbial soap around jewelry and piercing for 15-30 seconds.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water. 
• Use soap 2x's a day. Once in the AM, once in the PM.
• Check balls on jewelry to make sure they are tight. 

We recommend sea salt soaks to remove dead cells and debris that build up around the piercing. Do not pick off crusties. Soak them off so you do not disturb the healing process.

Take a few pinches of uniodized sea salt drop in a shot glass of warm water. Dip a cotton ball. Soak piercing for 5 minutes. Rinse with clear water. 2x's a day for 1 week. Drop to 1x a day 2nd week. 

TIPS

Cartilage types of piercings is more tender and can take up to 1 year to heal. If not cared for appropriately, may result in cartilage piercing bumps.  Do not take jewelry out without replacing it immediately or your piercing may close. • Your body will quickly adjust to the jewelry in your tongue and heal properly if you adhere to necessary daily aftercare.
• Immediately following your piercing, you may want to use ice to keep your tongue cold and reduce swelling. 
• Anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Motrin or Ibuprophen may help ease the discomfort. (We assume no liability nor recommend any medications. Always consult your physician). 
• We have pierced you with a longer bar to accommodate swelling. After the swelling is gone, if the bar feels too long, visit us to purchase a shorter bar which we will install at no charge. Leave the new bar in for 5 weeks or until healed. 

How to Clean Your Tongue Piercing

1. Use an alcohol-free mouthwash 2-3 times a day to clean. 
2. Dissolve 1 tbsp of Sea Salt to a 24 oz. bottle of water and rinse each time after you eat, drink (anything but water) or smoke. 

Eating and Drinking

1. Eat as you normally would.
2. Your tongue will be tender, and eating will be a bit more challenging, however, you will adjust to the piercing by the end of the first week.
3. The tender piercing can be vulnerable to ripping or tearing, so avoid playing with it. 

Healing

As with any new piercing, it will take approximately 1 year to be healed completely. This all depends on how quickly your body heals naturally. Taking care of your overall health with proper diet, sleep and exercise is important and will help speed this process along.
